Privacy policy
Short version: your pictures never leave your device.
1. The images you open
PixelCut is a fully client-side tool. When you drop a picture into the page, it is read with the browser's file APIs and processed with JavaScript and WebAssembly on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to a server, and there is no upload endpoint anywhere in this application.
The processed result is created as a Blob inside the browser and saved directly to your device when you press the download button.
2. The AI model
The optional AI engine downloads a segmentation model (ONNX, about 42 MB) from a public CDN the first time you use it. The download contains no information about you or your pictures - it is just the model file. After that the browser keeps it in its cache, and the model runs locally.
3. Local storage
The site stores a single value in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme choice. It also registers a service worker so the app can keep working offline. Both stay on your device and are removed when you clear site data.
4. Analytics and advertising
This site may show ads (for example Google AdSense). Advertising networks can set cookies and read them to personalise ads - that happens inside your browser and is covered by their own privacy policies. No advertising script ever receives your images.
If you do not want ads at all, delete the ads block in js/config.js or set enabled: false.
5. Server logs
Like any website, the hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, browser, requested page). These logs contain no images and are not connected to the tool.
6. Children
The tool is safe for all ages because it does not collect personal data and does not create accounts.
7. Changes
This policy can change. The date of the last update is shown below.
